The South Wisconsin District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod recently selected Racine Lutheran High School junior Sophia Drager to represent her district and congregation at the Council of Lutheran Youth Fellowship Representatives. This annual meeting took place March 12-15 in St. Louis.
Lutheran Youth Fellowship (LYF) is the youth organization of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. This Christian denomination has more than 2.4 million members with 6,100 congregations in the United States and Canada, as well as partner churches around the world.
Drager represented the young people of her district and congregation, helping develop a vision for youth ministry through LYF. In addition, she learned to host leadership-training sessions for her peers through a module titled “Teen Stand Strong Training.”
At Racine Lutheran, Drager stands out by serving as President of the Student Council, a Student Ambassador and a member of the National Honor Society. She also performs with the handbells ensemble, jazz band and concert band.
Racine Lutheran encourages leadership training for its students, who become high achievers in school and in life.
