Community Newsletter: RLHS provides the complete high school experience

As we approach the end of the school year, we know the next several weeks will be a whirlwind. Students must study for Advanced Placement tests and exams, make final decisions about college, purchase the perfect prom attire, plan graduation parties, and prepare to walk across the stage and into their future.

Our school year theme was from 2 Corinthians 13:11, which states: “Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.”

When I reflect on the message, I hope our seniors will continue to embrace the true love and peace we find only in our God.

Spring music tour

After months of rehearsals and preparation, our musicians set off to experience opportunities beyond our classroom walls. This year’s itinerary includes performances and clinics at colleges, churches and venues in Nebraska and Missouri. Of course, our talented tourists also enjoy museums, restaurants and other fun attractions, while they grow as artists and make lifelong memories.

Spring concert

Join us for our music department’s final concert of the school year. Our musicians and artists will showcase their pieces beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at the school, 251 Luedtke Ave. An offering will be accepted.

The amazing month of May

May is a month of many celebrations at Racine Lutheran High School.

We kick off the month with our National Honor Society induction ceremony on May 1. Our dedicated teachers will be recognized on May 3, as part of Teacher Appreciation Week.

On May 5, we will provide a dinner party for the many men and women who devote countless hours to the thrift shops. Their volunteerism is remarkable, and their selfless service helps support our Christian school.

Our annual Honors Convocation will begin at 7 p.m. on May 11, and our school community will come together to share in our students’ achievements.

Our church delegates will gather on May 16 to observe, impact and bless our continued progress.

The calendar also includes prom on May 21 and graduation on May 28, plus guest speakers, athletic events, music competitions, and professional development opportunities. We offer the complete high school experience.
