Create and share high school memories at RLHS

The following published in the Journal Times on Sunday, July 17, 2016.

The bookends of our summer are graduation and the first day of the next school year. The class of 2016 wrote stories that are now savored high school memories. As a school, we turn the page to begin another chapter of the Crusader chronicles, and our incoming freshmen stand poised to enter Racine Lutheran High School.

Our 54 recent graduates, led by valedictorian Madeline Michael and salutatorian Sam Theuer, were offered more than $2.5 million for their college journeys. Congratulations! These young men and women join the thousands of alumni who created their history through legendary tales of faith, character, leadership and learning.

We encourage all of our alumni, friends and supporters to stop in and visit us this summer. See that our commitment to quality Christian education has remained steadfast, and our offerings, opportunities and facilities continue to improve and advance. Stay involved and participate in Racine Lutheran High School activities including those promoted here.

RLHS Golf Outing

RLHS alumni Homecoming events

Racine Lutheran High School alumni, families, past faculty and friends are invited to enjoy the festivities planned for Homecoming 2016. Come home and create new memories.

Worship with our current faculty and students on Wednesday, Sept. 21. Chapel begins at 8:45 a.m., with a reception and school tours to follow. Take a walk down memory lane, plus see how things have progressed.

Free food and fun. On Friday, Sept. 23, beginning at 5 p.m., you can tailgate with classmates in the Racine Lutheran High School parking lot before the football game. You can even revisit the halls they once roamed. Each alumnus in attendance receives a wristband for free admission to the game. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Horlick Field. The post-game reception is at Buckets Pub.

Show your school pride by wearing purple and gold.

Alumni Basketball Tournament

Show us your moves. Racine Lutheran High School graduates are invited to participate in the Alumni Basketball Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 26. Free admission, and the spirited competition and camaraderie are priceless. Halftime contests are offered for future Crusaders. All fans are welcome to join us at this Thanksgiving weekend event.

Grand Gala

Save the date. Our 19th annual Grand Gala is Saturday, Feb. 11, at Roma Lodge. The Valentine’s weekend event offers the opportunity to dress up, dine out, dance, and make a difference in the lives of our students. Proceeds from the evening provide tuition assistance, as well as support our facility’s capital improvements.
