Racine Lutheran High School adds Cross Country

Racine Lutheran High School announces boys and girls cross country will be added to its list of competitive sports, beginning in the fall of 2017.

“We are excited to offer another athletic opportunity to involve more students in extracurriculars,” says athletic director Jason Block.

Paul Tuskowski, the school’s new head track and field coach, will also lead the cross country program.

“Cross country is a great sport for any athlete, as it focuses on all-around fitness and athleticism,” said Tuskowski, who expects many of his track participants to also compete in cross country.

The team will compete in the WIAA division III and the Metro Classic Conference against other area schools. The inaugural season will include meets at Concordia University Wisconsin, UW-Parkside, Armstrong Park, and Badger High School.

RLHS also offers football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, golf, trap shooting and cheerleading.

Families interested in learning more about the academic, athletic and extra-curricular opportunities available at Racine Lutheran should contact Susie Drummond, director of admissions, at 637-6538 or sdrummond@RacineLutheran.org.
