Coach Mallwitz announces retirement

Longtime baseball coach Bob Mallwitz has announced his retirement.  Coach Mall has served Racine Lutheran High School as a coach for the last 24 years, 22 as the head varsity baseball coach.  Over that time, he has not only influenced hundreds of young lives, but also amassed several coaching accomplishments.  He retires as the all-time winningest baseball coach in school history with 235 wins, and led his teams to conference championships in 2003, 2011, and 2017.  He was named Racine County Coach of the Year in 1997, 2008, and 2017.  In 1997, he led Racine Lutheran to the WISAA Division 2 state championship.  He also successfully navigated the combining of the Lutheran and Prairie baseball teams into a cooperative program starting in 2002 and has served both schools ever since.  He also served Racine Lutheran as an assistant football coach for many years.  Coach Mall says, “The Good Lord has blessed me these past 24 years with hundreds of ‘other sons’ and dedicated coaches in my time…to them I am eternally grateful.”

Thank you, Coach Mall, for your many years of dedicated service to the student-athletes at Racine Lutheran, and God’s blessings to you.
