Screenagers Project – Join us Tuesday, Nov. 29

We invite you to attend our Parents-as-Partners event at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29. RSVP via the form below.

We are thrilled to announce that RLHS has invested in a community membership to the Screenagers Project, an online platform to the Screenagers movies, curriculum, and resources.  Developed by primary care physician and filmmaker, Dr. Delaney Ruston, the award-winning Screenagers documentaries explore the impact of screen technology on kids and offer families proven solutions that work.

The first movie – “Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age” –  looks at the impact of screen time on our kids from various aspects of life, especially exploring the vulnerabilities inherent in social media, video games, academics, and internet addiction.

The second movie – “Screenagers Next Chapter: Addressing Mental Health in the Digital Age” – dives deep into teen stress, anxiety and depression and focuses on how to empower teens to overcome mental health challenges, and build emotional agility and stress resilience.

The third movie which is due to be released in the spring – “Screenagers Under the Influence: Addressing Vaping, Drugs & Alcohol in the Digital Age” – will explore how our tech revolution has impacted teens’ views and behaviors around alcohol, vaping, cannabis, and other substances, and what parents, schools and teens can do to support healthy decision making.

The student body will view the movies over the next several months. You, as parents/guardians, are invited to view the first film on Tuesday, November 29, at 6:30 p.m. here at RLHS.  Please join us.  RSVP by clicking on this link to the RSVP form, so we can plan for seating.  RVSP to Save my Seat
