Dr. Bergs speaks to Forensic Science class

Thank you to Dr. Joseph Bergs, a local child and adolescent psychiatrist, who spoke to our Forensic Science class last week.  The topic of Dr. Bergs’ presentation was “The Mind of a Criminal – What leads someone to commit criminal behavior?”  His insight was interesting, and we are grateful he shared his time and knowledge with us.

Paul Haselhuhn selected Student of the Month for February

Racine Lutheran High School announces senior Paul Haselhuhn was selected as the Student of the Month for February. Students are nominated by faculty considering the 2018-19 school year theme: “Be kind and compassionate to one another.”

The nominating teachers shared:

Paul is a joy to have in the classroom. He is respectful to his teachers and works hard on his coursework, serving as an example for his peers. His participation in class enriches those around him. Most importantly, he exhibits maturity in his leadership, not only setting an example to his peers, but also encouraging them to do their best. Paul enjoys getting to know those around him, and he clearly embodies our school year theme of kindness.

Concert with Concordia High School and Peter Klemp

The Concordia High School Band (from Omaha, Nebraska), under the director of Peter Klemp, made a stop at RLHS during its annual tour.  Mr. Klemp is a past RLHS teacher.  He was also Mr. Gullicksrud’s teacher in grade school – check out that vintage photo!!  The two schools’ musicians collaborated to present an incredible concert on Thursday evening.  So many thank yous…to the RLHS families who hosted our guests, to Mrs. Aumann who fed our guests, to Mr. Gullicksrud who organized this event, to everyone who attended the concert, and to the Mr. Klemp, the Concordia High School students and the chaperones who shared their time and talents with our community.  Please pray for their safe travels.  (More photos are posted on Facebook – Racine Lutheran High School Admissions.)
