*RLHS FARMERS’ MARKET BAKE SALE – RLHS Guild has a booth reserved at the Racine Farmers’ Market for Saturday, August 27, from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. We will have a big bake sale to raise funds for our high school.  Could you help by donating bakery for the sale?  Cookies, pies, cupcakes, bars, brownies, breads and snacks are great sellers – it doesn’t have to be fancy! Last summer, we sold out and made more than $800! Many of you contributed.  Bring bakery donations Saturday morning to the Racine Downtown Farmers’ Market on the corner of State and Erie streets. People shop early, so please drop off by 9 a.m. Then stay and shop the market – it’s fun!  (If you can’t bring goods on Saturday morning, they can be dropped off at school on Friday.)  Contact Julie at 498-5919 or jporter@RacineLutheran.org or Darlene at 633-3281 for more information.

*Help is needed THIS WEEKEND – The Douglas Avenue Thrift Shop is having its fall change over on August 27, 28 and 29.  Hours are Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., Sunday from after church until done, and Monday from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Various shifts are available, and this is a great chance to fulfill your family service hour obligation.  We are hoping for 20 to 25 volunteers on Saturday!  Please contact Mindie at (859) 539-6630 to schedule your shift or sign up on the sheet in the Main Office.

Senior Retreat meeting begins today, Monday, August 1, at 6 p.m. 

All parents of fall athletes should attend a mandatory Parent Meeting on Monday, August 1, at 7 p.m. in the gym. All paperwork will be available that evening. Important information will be given on our program as well as schedules for games and practices, volunteer opportunities, and other policy changes.  This is an important meeting to open the lines of communication between coach and parent.
