FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE
NEW!
Farewell Good and Faithful Servants!
Praise the Lord for the mission of Lutheran High School to guide our youth in faith, learning, character, and leadership in a Christ-centered environment.
As RLHS prepares for another year, some staff will be moving to new endeavors as they follow God’s plan for them.
Ms. Abby Barrington taught math and served as a coach for two years at RLHS. She will be continuing her teaching ministry overseas next fall.
Mr. David Wiedenkeller taught Theology and Social Studies the past three years. We hope to continue to see him around RLHS as he returns to substitute teaching.
Ms. Lori Storm taught psychology part-time the past six years. She will continue working in private practice.
Mrs. Sarah Wilke taught math and science and served as a coach the past four years. She will be welcoming a new baby in the fall!
Ms. Julia Pedrosa taught Spanish, PE, and Resource and served as Student Council advisor the past five years. She has accepted a Call to serve at Saxony Lutheran High School in Missouri.
Please keep these servants and their families in your prayers as they begin their new pursuits.

IN SEARCH OF STORAGE SPACE
RLHS is looking for a place to store our parade float trailer! The trailer measures approximately 16′ x 8′ and is used for our school float in local parades throughout the year. Ideally, we would love access to an indoor storage space, but we would also be grateful for a secure outdoor location where the trailer could be covered and protected with a tarp. If you or someone you know has available space and would be willing to help, please email klong@racinelutheran.org or send us a direct message.
Thank you for helping us keep this tradition rolling and representing RLHS in our community!
NEW!
RLHS 38th Annual Sader Scramble!
Celebrate with us as we embark on our 38th annual golf outing event! The unwavering support and passion for the game from our generous supporters ensure its continued success. Whether you’ve been a part of our journey before or are stepping in for the first time, your assistance is invaluable. Be it as a golfer, a hole sponsor, or a prize donor, your involvement directly impacts RLHS students by bolstering our Athletic Program. Join us in making a difference! RLHS VOLUNTEER/FAMILY SERVICE HOURS

Every family is expected to volunteer at least 20 hours of service each school year (July 1-June 30) to directly benefit RLHS. PLEASE NOTE- RLHS student responsibilities, commitments, and expectations that are part of a sport or club (NHS, Student Council, Student Ambassadors, team events) do not count toward the 20 RLHS service hours.
Thrift Shop Service Hours
We ask that six of those hours are spent volunteering at our Thrift Shop. The Thrift Shop is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and is looking for help during morning shifts (10 a.m.-1 p.m.) and afternoon shifts (1 p.m.- 4 p.m.). Students, parents, grandparents, and friends of RLHS are needed to sort, clean, price and display merchandise and work in the store. One adult and one student, or two adults, are needed for each shift. SATURDAY VOLUNTEERS ARE ESPECIALLY NEEDED!
Schedule Service Hours with the Thrift Shop at 1222 Lathrop Ave.
To sort, clean, price and/or help with incoming donations – call Pat Hellenberg 262.498.8851. To help with checkout/cashier – call Barb Tertel 262.632.1070.
Schedule Service Hours with MORE Thrift Shop at 1228 Lathrop Ave.
Call Peggy Groth 262.498.2161 or Judy Lamers 262.321.4095.
Service Hours Bonuses
Once your family completes 20 hours, your student will receive a gift certificate for a free lunch at RLHS! Additionally, at the end of the school year, the three families with the most volunteer hours will be awarded a $50 credit to their RLHS school account, which can be applied toward various expenses such as lunch balance, athletic fee, yearbook, parking pass, and more!

FROM THE ATHLETIC OFFICE
NEW!
New Athletics Registration Process for 2026-27
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to inform families of an important change to our athletics registration process. The athletic software company we have used in previous years is no longer in business, so Racine Lutheran will be transitioning to BOUND for all athletic registrations.
Beginning July 1, families may register for any Racine Lutheran athletic program through a BOUND Family Account.
To begin the registration process, visit our new athletic website: https://www.gobound.com/wi/schools/racineluth. From the homepage, click Registration and then select Activities.
Setting Up Your Account
- Returning student-athletes (Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors) who participated in athletics during the previous school year are already in the BOUND system. Simply follow the instructions to add your child to your family account.
- New students or students who did not participate in athletics last year will need to be added to your account by following the instructions provided during the registration process.
Once your child has been added, you may also add your spouse and any additional children to your family account.
Physicals and Required Forms
All physical forms will need to be uploaded directly into the BOUND system this year. Because this is our first year using BOUND, there will be no Alternative Year Cards accepted.
All remaining required athletic forms will be included within the registration process for each sport and will be completed through digital signatures.
To upload your child’s physical, please note that Page 4 of the WIAA Physical Card must be completed and signed by a physician. This is the page that will need to be uploaded into BOUND. If your child receives a physical this summer, please save Page 4 and keep it available until you register your child for athletics.
If your child already has a current physical on file with Racine Lutheran, you may request a copy beginning June 16 by emailing Mr. Shaffer at sshaffer@racinelutheran.org.
We encourage all families to create their accounts and complete registrations as early as possible to ensure a smooth start to the athletic season. If you have any questions or need assistance with the registration process, please contact Mr. Shaffer. He will be happy to help families through this new registration process.
*Game schedules are on the online school calendar which can be found here. Or click on the “Calendar” link on the school website. You may also sign up for notifications from the calendar site which will alert you to upcoming contests and schedule changes. Coaches contact information is also found on the calendar site.
*Our spirit wear page is on the school website. Look for the spirit wear link on our website. There will be a code at the top of the page for the latest deal for the week.
