RLHS Families: Do You Have a Future Crusader at Home?
Do you have an 8th grader you’d like to apply to Racine Lutheran High School for the 2027–2028 school year but missed our October 14 Open House? No problem!
If you weren’t able to pick up an application folder, simply contact Mrs. Katie Fox in Admissions at kfox@racinelutheran.org, or have your current RLHS student stop by the Admissions Office to pick up a folder and bring it home!
Why apply now? We encourage families to complete the application process and receive academic acceptance by the beginning of the new year. That way, when February arrives, you can focus on the next important step—your financial plan!
Whether you’re planning to apply for the Racine Parental Choice Program, which opens February 1, 2027, or explore RLHS grants and financial aid, completing the academic application process early will help you be prepared!
We’d love to see another member of your family become a Future Crusader!

RLHS VOLUNTEER/FAMILY SERVICE HOURS
Every family is expected to volunteer at least 20 hours of service each school year (July 1-June 30) to directly benefit RLHS. PLEASE NOTE- RLHS student responsibilities, commitments, and expectations that are part of a sport or club (NHS, Student Council, Student Ambassadors, team events) do not count toward the 20 RLHS service hours.
Thrift Shop Service Hours
We ask that six of those hours are spent volunteering at our Thrift Shop. The Thrift Shop is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and is looking for help during morning shifts (10 a.m.-1 p.m.) and afternoon shifts (1 p.m.- 4 p.m.). Students, parents, grandparents, and friends of RLHS are needed to sort, clean, price and display merchandise and work in the store. One adult and one student, or two adults, are needed for each shift. SATURDAY VOLUNTEERS ARE ESPECIALLY NEEDED!
Schedule Service Hours with the Thrift Shop at 1222 Lathrop Ave.
To sort, clean, price and/or help with incoming donations – call Pat Hellenberg 262.498.8851. To help with checkout/cashier – call Barb Tertel 262.632.1070.
Schedule Service Hours with MORE Thrift Shop at 1228 Lathrop Ave.
Call Peggy Groth 262.498.2161 or Judy Lamers 262.321.4095.
Service Hours Bonuses
Once your family completes 20 hours, your student will receive a gift certificate for a free lunch at RLHS! Additionally, at the end of the school year, the three families with the most volunteer hours will be awarded a $50 credit to their RLHS school account, which can be applied toward various expenses such as lunch balance, athletic fee, yearbook, parking pass, and more!
The Life of Martin Luther
(Portrayed by Historian David Wiedenkeller)
One of the most influential reformers of the early Catholic Church was Martin Luther. Come and listen as he talks about his life from Catholic friar to the father of the Lutheran Church. Learn about how he questioned the role of the church and the purpose of God in the lives of Christians. He will discuss the many works of his life that contributed to the permanent separation of Protestants and Catholics and his major work involving the translation of the Holy Bible. Experience the life of this fascinating man and see why his contributions are still remembered today!
Please join us on Sunday, November 1st, at 10:30 am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4340 Six Mile Road, Racine, WI 53402 (after Worship Service).

New Athletics Registration Process for 2026-27 (UPDATED, PLEASE READ)
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to inform families of an important change to our athletics registration process. The athletic software company we have used in previous years is no longer in business, so Racine Lutheran will be transitioning to BOUND for all athletic registrations.
Beginning July 1, families may register for any Racine Lutheran athletic program through a BOUND Family Account.
To begin the registration process, visit our new athletic website: https://www.gobound.com/wi/schools/racineluth.
From the homepage, click Registration and then select Activities.
Setting Up Your Account – BOUND Parent Account Setup (UPDATED)
All Racine Lutheran students in grades 9–12 have now been added to the BOUND system. To register your student for athletics and complete required forms, parents/guardians must first claim their child by creating a BOUND account.
How to Claim Your Student
  1. Visit the BOUND Athletic Website and create a parent account (Click on Registration and Activities. On the next page that pops up, create your account).
  2. Follow the prompts to add your child.
  3. Complete the following steps:
    • Step 1: Enter your child’s information.
    • Step 2: Select Racine Lutheran as your organization.
    • Step 3: Search for your child within the organization.
  4. You can search for your student by either:
    • Student ID
Your child’s Student ID can be found in your JMC Parent Account. Once your student has been claimed, you will be able to complete athletic registrations, upload physical forms, and sign required documents electronically. If you have any questions or need assistance with the process, please contact the Racine Lutheran Athletic Office. Once your child has been added, you may also add your spouse and any additional children to your family account.
Physicals and Required Forms
All physical forms will need to be uploaded directly into the BOUND system this year. Because this is our first year using BOUND, there will be no Alternative Year Cards accepted. All remaining required athletic forms will be included within the registration process for each sport and will be completed through digital signatures.
To upload your child’s physical, please note that Page 4 of the WIAA Physical Card must be completed and signed by a physician. This is the page that will need to be uploaded into BOUND. If your child receives a physical this summer, please save Page 4 and keep it available until you register your child for athletics. If your child already has a current physical on file with Racine Lutheran, you may request a copy beginning June 16 by emailing Mr. Shaffer at sshaffer@racinelutheran.org.
We encourage all families to create their accounts and complete registrations as early as possible to ensure a smooth start to the athletic season. If you have any questions or need assistance with the registration process, please contact Mr. Shaffer. He will be happy to help families through this new registration process.
